Cookie Policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

This site does not use cookies.

That is the whole policy, but the detail is below because a one-line cookie policy tends not to be believed.

What this site does not do

  • It sets no cookies of its own.
  • It runs no third-party analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no tag manager. The only other company this site talks to is MailerLite, and only on the Digital Products page - see below.
  • It does count visits, using our own software, and that counting uses no cookies at all - which is why you are not being asked to agree to any. The counting stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing to consent to. How the counting works is set out in the Privacy Policy under "What we collect".
  • It carries no advertising.
  • The two typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.

The one thing from another site

The mailing list sign-up form on the Digital Products page comes from MailerLite, our mailing list provider. It sets no cookies. It does save one thing in your browser: a random ID, under the name ml_guid, which MailerLite sends along with a sign-up. It contains nothing about you and is not used to follow you anywhere else. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Opening that page does mean your browser fetches the form, its image and its font from MailerLite, and MailerLite sees your IP address, as any website you load something from does. No other page on this site loads anything from another company.

Server logs are not cookies

Our hosting provider records technical information about requests to this site, including IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. That is a record kept at their end, not something stored on your device, and it is used to keep the site running and secure. It is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Controlling cookies anyway

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Doing so will not change anything on this site, but it will affect sites that do use them. The guidance at ico.org.uk explains the options in full.

If this changes

If this site ever needs cookies, for example to remember something you have chosen or to measure how the site is used, this page will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it. Any question about it can go to amy@hardimanvirtualassistant.co.uk.
